Ingrediants
Manuka Honey- The MGO count of Manuka honey is very high, and the higher the concentration of MGO, the more potent the antibacterial effects. Our skin loves this stuff for its ability to heal, hydrate, and prevent aging and acne in a clean, natural way. The Manuka honey I used has a 400+ MGO and 12+ UMF.
Unrefined Shea Butter- High concentrations of fatty acids and vitamins make shea butter an ideal cosmetic ingredient for softening skin. Shea butter also has anti-inflammatory and healing properties. Using shea butter on your body, especially your face, can condition, tone, and soothe your skin.
Unrefined Cocoa Butter- Cocoa butter is high in fatty acids, which is why it’s often touted for its ability to hydrate and nourish the skin and improve elasticity. The fat in cocoa butter forms a protective barrier over skin to hold in moisture. Cocoa butter is also rich in natural plant compounds called phytochemicals.
Beeswax- The anti-inflammatory properties of beeswax encourage the healing of wounds. It is also protective, helping form a barrier between the skin and the environment without clogging pores. Further, beeswax is high in vitamin A, which has been found to support cell reconstruction and health.
ArrowRoot- Arrowroot is a starch obtained from the rootstock of tropical plants/tubers. Arrowroot absorbs oils/sebum beautifully and is also promotes natural healing as it penetrates the skin. Rubbing some into skin before bed and in the morning can reduce oil production, soften skin and dry out/heal blemishes.
